Pay it Forward

Often times in life we are blessed with the help from others. With our fitness transformation so many people have helped us along the way starting from our son introducing us to CrossFit and Paleo nutrition to coaches who have imparted tremendous amount of knowledge and inspiration to friends who have cheered us on and supported our efforts. None of us in this life do it all by ourselves. One of the things that have fueled our passion has been the wonderful opportunity to pass on what we know to other people who also are searching for a path to fitness and health. That was one of the main reasons we started our business. It gave us a vehicle to introduce our nutrition lifestyle to others and to inspire others to experience the fitness transformation that we have experienced.

I cannot tell you what an amazing thing it has been that I have been able to introduce every one of my staff at work to CrossFit Style workouts that we do 3 days a week at work. I have seen people who started as very sedentary individuals become athletes. I have seen how they transformed themselves from not being able to do very much to people who are excited about achieving physical goals. Fortunately many of them have also embraced the paleo nutrition lifestyle and have gained even more health benefits. This is what it’s all about! This is what excites us and keeps the passion going.

One of my staff with health issues similar to mine was having particular challenges in being able to stay on track with paleo eating. Even though the concepts and philosophy is not very hard it is a little hard to get started. Everyone has some sort of talent and mine happens to be cooking. So one way I can pay it forward was to help him by planning and cooking all of his meals (Lunch & Dinner) for two weeks as part of his 30 day paleo/sugar detox challenge. The menu for the first week includes Curried Pork Chops with Cauliflower Mash, Shrimp Marinara with Spaghetti Squash, Asian Spice Roasted Chicken with Baked Sweet Potato, Turkey and Eggplant Lasagna, Grilled Italian Sausage with Sauerkraut, Turkey Sandwich (on Nourishe bread) with a side of Guacamole and Tuna Salad to name a few. By helping him get a head start and by showing how to plan his menu for the other 2 weeks and by providing recipes my greatest hope is that he will be successful and achieve his goals. To be able to do this has actually been a blessing for me. It has given me the opportunity to share my passion for health and fitness with a friend.
